Milestones Frame

Baby milestones can be quite exciting and very memorable.  Here is a great way to display all those special moments.

Supplies:

Scrapbook Paper; 3 Colors / Designs
Spray Adhesive
Two-sided Adhesive Paper
Precise Cutting Tool  / Knife
Petite Circle Punch
Rounded Corner Punch (optional)
Chipboard Frame - I purchased mine from Hobby Lobby with a 40% off Coupon

1.  Cut background paper with a 1" border around frame.  Cut straight lines from the corners so you can bend the paper tightly around the frame.

2.  Draw an outline inside the frame and measure 1/2" out and cut out the center.  Cut straight lines from the corners so that you can tightly wrap the paper inside the frame.

3.  Spray the paper with the spray adhesive.  I used permanent adhesive to ensure this would last.

4.  Cut 1 1/2" squares from your 2nd color/design paper.  I rounded off the corners to create a nice finish, but this is not necessary.  Use the circle punch to cut a 1/2 circle along the top.

5.  Cut VERY thin strips from the adhesive paper and outline the sides and bottom; NOT THE TOP. I used permanent adhesive to ensure they would not fall off.  You can stick them to the frame in way that you like.

6.  Cut 1" squares of the last color/design paper and insert into squares once you have placed them.

7.  Lastly write the milestone on each square and the details on the insert.  For example:
     Milestone:   First Word
Details:  11/08/12 - Cookie - Said to Papa

You could do frames not just for first year milestones, but also for older kids. For example:

Place a kindergarten photo and put the milestones that occurred that year like when they knew there ABC's, numbers, starting reading etc.
